KMO-Portefeuille

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that currently, **only the following PCA courses** are recognized and eligible for financial support via the KMO-portefeuille:

• NASM Personal Trainer
• Program Design
• Assess & Correct
• Exercise Execution
• Lower Back

All other PCA courses are not eligible for financial support via the KMO-portefeuille.

General Information

The KMO-portefeuille is a financial support measure from the Flemish government for entrepreneurs who wish to invest in their training. These subsidies are only available if the training is followed at an accredited training center.

PCA's accreditation number is DV.0218258.

For courses related to physical or mental wellbeing, an important restriction applies: only recognized (para)medical professions (e.g., physiotherapist, occupational therapist, osteopath, …) can benefit from these subsidies.

Non-recognized professions such as personal trainer or fitness coach are not eligible for this type of financial support.

Who is eligible for financial support via the KMO-portefeuille?

• SMEs, sole proprietors, liberal professions, self-employed individuals, and self-employed individuals in a secondary occupation;
• Your business must be established in the Flemish Region;
• You must operate under a legal form that is eligible for financial support;
• The course for which you are requesting support must be accredited and fall under the theme "Professional Competencies" (Beroepsspecifieke competenties).

Amount of the support

Businesses that meet the criteria can benefit from a support of 30% of the course price excluding VAT (up to a maximum of €7,500 per year).

VAT is not subsidized and must be paid directly to PCA.

How to apply for support?

• The application is done entirely online via the KMO-portefeuille platform. If this is your first application, you must first register your business;
• After enrolling in the course, submit your subsidy application online, selecting the theme "Professional Competencies";
• You pay your own contribution (70% of the course price excluding VAT) to the KMO-portefeuille account managed by Sodexo;
• The Flemish government transfers the subsidy amount to the same account;
• You validate the payment of the course via your KMO-portefeuille account.
